Welcome to Lungevity

Lungevity News

The Kylie Johnston Lung Cancer Network is an initiative of The Australian Lung Foundation which raises money to help empower people, touched by lung cancer, to live their lives to the fullest.

What is Lungevity?

Lungevity is for people who are fighting lung cancer.  It provides information and resources and, via the Forum, an opportunity for those touched by lung cancer to share their experiences.

We hope that you find Lungevity useful, friendly and inspirational.

How did Lungevity start?

Lungevity started in May 2006 with The Lungevity Challenge.  Kylie Johnston, a 30 year old lung cancer patient, set off on a huge journey to become the first person to travel over the Simpson Desert in a hot air balloon.  The objective of the Challenge was to raise awareness of lung cancer and the need for more support for those touched by lung cancer.

It's an inspirational story, and has resulted in the Kylie Johnston Lung Cancer Network being established to provide this much-needed support.
